If you’re a fashion-forward pet parent, you’ll be thrilled to know that there are several clothing chains where your furry friend can join in on the fashion fun! These dog-friendly stores not only carry stylish clothing options for humans but also offer a wide range of fashionable attire and supplies for your canine companion.
One popular dog-friendly clothing store is “Ross.” With a chic and trendy selection of clothing and accessories, this store prides itself on providing fashion-forward options for both humans and dogs. Though it’s difficult to find Ross’s pet policy online, they do allow dogs in their stores. We spoke with a customer service representative who stated that Ross stores welcome leashed pets.
Another great option is “T.J. Max & Marshalls.” This store specializes in high-quality discounted designer clothing. With a curated collection of stylish outfits and accessories, you and your pup can take your fashion game to a whole new level. T.J. Maxx & Marshalls are widely known to allow dogs in its stores, but there is no official pet policy posted on the company’s website. As such, the decision to allow dogs in a store is often up to the store manager’s discretion. So, while many T.J. Maxx & Marshalls stores do allow dogs, there will be some that don’t. Be sure to call your local T.J. Maxx & Marshall’s to find out if your dog is welcome.
Macy’s does not have an overarching pet policy for all of their stores. As such, stores decide this on an individual basis. This means some locations will be happy to invite well-behaved, leashed dogs inside. Others will turn dogs away. Contact your local Macy’s to learn more about their pet policy.
If you’re a dog owner, you know how much your furry friend loves to accompany you on outings. Whether it’s a trip to the park or a stroll around the neighborhood, they want to be by your side. But what about when it comes to shopping? Luckily, there are plenty of stores that welcome dogs with open arms, including home improvement centers. These stores not only offer a wide range of products for your DIY projects but also understand the importance of including your four-legged companion in the shopping experience.
Home improvement centers like Home Depot and Lowe’s have recognized the growing number of dog owners who prefer to have their pets by their side while tackling home improvement projects. These stores have implemented dog-friendly policies that allow well-behaved dogs to accompany their owners as they browse the aisles for tools, building materials, and home decor. Imagine walking down the aisles with your dog, exploring the vast selection of products while receiving friendly smiles and greetings from employees and other customers. Your pup’s tail wagging happily as they take in all the new sights and smells. It’s a win-win situation – you get to shop for your home improvement needs, and your dog gets to enjoy quality time with you. Not only do these dog-friendly home improvement centers provide a welcoming environment for your canine companion, but they also understand the importance of responsible pet ownership. They require dogs to be on a leash and well-behaved, ensuring the safety and comfort of all customers. Some stores even go the extra mile by providing water bowls or designated pet areas where your dog can take a break and hydrate. So, the next time you have a home improvement project on your to-do list, don’t leave your dog behind. Grab their leash, head to a dog-friendly home improvement center, and enjoy a shopping experience that both you and your furry friend will appreciate. Together, you can make your house a home, one DIY project at a time.
Tractor Supply Co. is one of our few non-pet stores that allow dogs at all locations. They only require that pets be friendly and leashed. In fact, their pet policy is so lenient that they’ll welcome just about any animal into the store as long as it is friendly and leashed. In 2019, they shared a photo on their Facebook page of a man visiting with his cow!
If you’re wondering whether or not you can bring your dog into CVS, the answer is maybe. CVS has no overarching policy regarding pets, which means each store may have different policies. As such, there will be some CVS locations that are dog friendly and some that are not. You’ll have to contact your local CVS to see whether or not you can bring your dog inside.
Best Buy does not have a pet policy that extends to all of its stores. As such, policies can vary from store to store. Some Best Buys will allow pet dogs inside as long as they are kept on a leash, potty-trained, and well-behaved.
Because Apple is selling tech, they don’t have to worry about any laws or regulations regarding food hygiene, which is one of the biggest reasons some stores don’t allow pets. However, this doesn’t mean that all Apple stores allow pets.
Some are happy to receive well-behaved, leashed pooches. Other Apple locations would prefer you leave your dog at home. Be sure to check with your local Apple store before attempting to bring your dog inside.
Though many articles online will tell you that all Victoria’s Secret locations allow dogs, this may not be the case. We spoke to a customer service representative who told us that most Victoria’s Secret stores follow the rules of the buildings they are located in.
Since the majority of stores are within malls, policies will vary. Some malls may allow dogs, whereas many do not. You’ll have to call your local Victoria’s Secret to find out if your pup can accompany you inside or not.
There are some businesses that have stricter policies. Rather than allowing each location to determine its own pet policy, they simply don’t allow dogs. This is true for almost all grocery stores because of hygiene and food safety concerns. Here is a list of some major retailers that are not dog-friendly stores (except for service dogs).
After reading our list, you can see that there are a number of places you can take your dog shopping. However, shopping isn’t the only activity you can do with your dog. There are a number of business types that are often pet-friendly, which we will list here.
In conclusion, shopping with your furry friend can be a fun and enjoyable experience for both of you. With so many dog-friendly stores available, you don’t have to leave your canine companion at home while you shop. Remember to always check the store’s policies and guidelines before bringing your dog, and make sure your dog is well-behaved and comfortable in new environments. It’s also a good idea to bring along some essentials like water, treats, and waste bags to ensure your pup’s comfort and cleanliness. Additionally, here are a few extra tips to make your dog-friendly shopping experience even better:
1. Socialize your dog: Before taking your dog to a store, make sure they are well-socialized and comfortable around other people and animals. This will help create a positive and stress-free shopping experience for both you and your furry friend.
2. Plan your visit: If your dog tends to get anxious or overwhelmed in busy environments, try to plan your shopping trips during quieter times. This will help minimize stress and provide a more relaxed shopping experience for your pup.
3. Respect the rules: While there are many dog-friendly stores, it’s important to respect their rules and guidelines. Make sure to keep your dog on a leash, clean up after them, and avoid letting them wander or disturb other shoppers.
4. Be mindful of allergies: Some people may have allergies or fears of dogs, so always be considerate of others around you. Keep your dog close to you and avoid allowing them to approach or jump on other customers unless invited.
5. Have fun! Shopping with your dog is a great opportunity to bond and provide them with mental and physical stimulation. Enjoy the experience together and make lasting memories while exploring dog-friendly stores. With these tips in mind, you and your furry friend can embark on exciting shopping adventures together, making the most of the dog-friendly stores available. So grab your leash, gather your shopping list, and get ready for a tail-wagging experience like no other!

Walmart stores in Middle Tenn allow doga.
Walmart in Goodyear, AZ has allowed my dogs. Several targets in the Phoenix, AZ area allowed my dog.
I bring my dog into Walmart, BJ’s, Target and Home Goods here in CT all the time. I’ve never been asked to take him out.
Thank u so much this is very useful tips. My puppy dobby is an ESD dog and helps calms my nerves when in the company of a lot of people. So being able to have him with me makes my shopping experience more intolerable an almost enjoyable. That’s something unless you suffer from this can you really appreciate it. Thanks Kk & Dobby
I completely understand anxiety disorders and yes… Yes… Yes… Those of us who “suffer” are grateful for the stores and people everywhere who allow us to bring along our service dog, my dog Jackson is a service dog, in training.. snf by niw, the “in-training” part is going great, andee r still gaining experience going to public places, to shop, enjoy recreational activities , or just out for ice cream i want my service dog to bevome familiar with all the places I enjoy. So there are no surprises for him as well… Therefore my service dog can do what he’s trained for and lesson anxiety for Jackson as well.. in turn, knowing that Jackson is welcomed to go just about anywhere with me makes sense and lessons the chances of suffering an attack.. makes shopping more enjoyable and less stress means, I’m spending my money in and at those stores which provide the comfort, safety and protection to everyone’s shopping experience. . . Thank you. . . GOD is good!! Everyday… Lisa W & Jackson USA service dog, specifically trained in assist w blindness/visual impairment. 🩵💙🩵💙🩵💙🐕🦺🦮🐕🐩🐈⬛🐈🦮🐕🦺
This is very enlightening ty.
My dog always goes to Walmart with me and is loved on by any staff who sees her!
I have taken my dog in Walmart on Missouri Avenue in Largo. I leave her in her container to keep children from messing with her. The door greeters stop me. I just keep going. She is safer in a container due to the amount of people in there. Works for me. I am very nice but I just keep walking.
My Target, BJ’s warehouse and Walmart love my dog. He is welcome always. The Fresh Market also is super dog friendly. Publix is not. Some Starbucks will allow my dog, and even call him by his name, but others do not. Just some FYI.
Thank you for a great article. I wondered if Lowe’s was pet friendly and thanks to your article, now I know. I am delighted to know of other wonderful places that are pet friendly.
Walmart and Target in the Phoenix, AZ area have both been dog friendly in my experience.
Here in Anaheim CA my dog is allowed to shop with me in Walmart, kohl’s,
